Over the course of 2019, 5G adoption has picked up quite quickly. To cater to this growing demand, smartphone OEMs have actively worked on delivering 5G smartphones in markets where 5G deployment has begun. Samsung, Huawei, LG, OnePlus and Xiaomi are just some of the OEMs who have made 5G variants of their flagships available. Now, OPPO is working on the OPPO Reno 3 5G phone that might be the slimmest 5G phone we’ve ever seen.
The design of the OPPO Reno 3 5G was teased by Brian Shen (President of Global Marketing, OPPO) on Twitter. The body of the tweet mentions that the phone will have a thickness of 7.7mm, excluding the camera bump. The body of the phone is described to be made of glass. It is likely that the body of the phone will be made of aluminium which will be sandwiched by glass on either side. The display also graces some subtle curves.
Oppo Reno 3 5G it’ll have support for both SA (standalone) and NSA (non-standalone) 5G networks. Earlier this year, at the Qualcomm 5G Summit 2019, OPPO had announced that it would be launching a phone before the end of the year that will be powered by Qualcomm’s dual-mode 5G mobile platform.
